Data stored on your device
Your anime libraries, ratings, tags, notes, preferences, and saved images are primarily stored in AniDeck’s app-specific storage on your device. AniDeck does not upload your complete library to an AniDeck server.
Cover search and Google Play navigation
When you actively start a cover search, AniDeck sends the anime title you entered to configured cover sources so it can return matching titles and images.
AniDeck no longer automatically reads update metadata from its website or GitHub. When you manually check for updates, the app leaves AniDeck and opens its Google Play listing. Google Play and cover providers may receive your IP address, user-agent string, and request time under their own privacy terms. AniDeck does not send your library, ratings, tags, notes, or images with that action.
Accounts and cloud sync
The current version does not provide an AniDeck account system or AniDeck cloud sync. You do not need to create an account to use the app.
Analytics, crash reporting, and data sales
The current version does not use analytics or crash-reporting services. AniDeck does not sell user data.
Export and deletion
AniDeck can export a local ZIP backup containing records and saved images. You choose where to keep or share that file.
You can delete individual records in the app. To remove all app data, clear AniDeck’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Backup files you exported separately must be deleted from their saved location by you.
Third-party cover sources
Cover search may access AniList, Bangumi, and other cover sources enabled in a controlled app release. Their own privacy terms apply to requests they receive. AniDeck is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by those services or by anime rights holders.
